The PAS 125 requires you to provide evidence of competency. The only accreditation for your estimators is the ATA Vehicle Damage Assessor but where do you get the essential training and continual support to ensure that your staff are best placed to achieve the desired result.  ARC Support Services provides that Development Training and Support.

The Nuts and Bolts of VDA it as per the IMI

The candidate should be working in the accident repair sector of the industry and have at least three years experience to ensure they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to determine the vehicle damage, identify the correct safe repair method to return the vehicle back to its pre accident condition.  The accreditation for Vehicle Damage Assessor is gained through what is classed as a "Full Assessment".  The candidate is measured through his skills and knowledge which are assessed during the exams. Part A is a knowledge test, a 'Q & A' of specific elements of the repair industry.  The contents includes Questions about:

  • General Industry Knowledge

  • Repair Methodology

  • Damage Appraisal & Identification

  • Estimating Systems, Safety & Liability

  • Vehicle Technology.

Our Part A Development day, has been defined to ensure that the candidate is fully aware of what's involved with the On-Line exam.  How it will measure their CORE Competency.   The value that the repairer can gain from sending their potential VDA's to this course is high. The day ensures the candidate is fully at ease with the level of education and experience that is required to pass this exam.  Of course, you could just go ahead to book him on his Part A, hope he passes and gets the result you want. Or, you could use this opportunity to review his skill sets, improves his abilities and in turn your return on your investment in him.
